1.The Association will award scholarships annually to "descendants of former students, teachers, or administrators of Dunbar School who are current financial members". A "descendant" is a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece, nephew, grandniece, or grandnephew.
2.The scholarships will be paid during the second semester of the current school term, after the recipients provide proof of enrollment and satisfactory academic progress.
3.The following areas will be considered:
a. Academic achievement and involvement
b. Community service
c. The financial need of the applicant
d. Relationship to a former student, teacher, or administrator of Dunbar School
4. The application package MUST INCLUDE the following items:
a. A copy of the final grades of the most recent school term
b. A one-page essay stating the applicant's intent to use his/her education and skills to provide service to his/her local community
c. A letter of recommendation from an adult school, church or community leader WHO IS NOT A RELATIVE OF THE APPLICANT
d. A sheet listing school and/or community service and involvement
e. Please include a head and shoulder photograph.
5. Complete the form below, attaching ALL required documentation. Deadline for the RECEIPT of COMPLETED package is NOVEMBER 30.
